Crediting Previous Work Experience

Can previous work experience count as a valid work term?

Counting previous work experience as a valid work term is difficult to determine, as each work situation must be approved by the institution as a suitable learning situation, as per the accreditation guidelines. In addition, previous work experiences must have included a work term report and evaluation, and have been followed by a study term. Some institutions allow students to transfer from another university or college and will consider previous work terms which were approved, monitored and completed successfully. If previous work term experience is credited, it is usually for a maximum of one or two (2) work terms.
