$62,385.00 - $70,215.00 per annum
The Co-operative Education Program requires a highly motivated Co-op Coordinator to become a part of the Engineering and Computer Science/Math Co-operative Education and Career Services team. Reporting to the Manager of the Engineering and Computer Science/Math Co-op and Career, the Co-op Coordinator will maintain contact with participating employers and students; promote the program and secure participation of prospective employers and students; secure and coordinate placements for Co-op students with Co-op employers; conduct visits with employers and potential employers; monitor and evaluate student work terms; perform assigned undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities (if appropriate); and assist students in developing work related communication skills. The Coordinator will participate in the planning, development and administration of the Engineering and Computer Science/Math programs in Computer Science/Mathematics and in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Civil and Software Engineering. Travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Engineering or Science, excellent written and networking skills, and three to five years relevant work experience in industry; or have the equivalent combination of education and experience. Registration as a professional Engineer with APEGBC or equivalent certification in Computer Science (or eligibility for registration/certification); background in educational program delivery; experience in sales and/or marketing; and co-op program experience would be considered strong assets.
