The duties and responsibilities of the Co-operative Education Coordinator include developing suitable work term opportunities, monitoring and evaluating students in the workplace, making promotion recommendations to Faculty Council, providing individual career and professional development counseling, managing the student placement process, developing and presenting professional development seminars, implementing appropriate reflective learning activities, and academic service. Travel is required within the province, nationally, and occasionally internationally.
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in engineering and be eligible for membership in Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL). Expertise in mechanical engineering is desirable; however, applications from all qualified candidates are strongly encouraged.
