Dear CAFCE Members,
Registration is now open for the CAFCE AGM/PD event to be held at the University of Waterloo on November 2, 2016. If you’re interested in attending, you should move quickly — registration for in-person attendance closes today, October 18 at 4:00 pm EST!
New! – the CAFCE website has now been updated with information on the PD sessions and special guest speaker for the lunch event!
Top Reasons for Attending This Year’s AGM and PD Event
Get in the know - This year’s networking lunch features guest speaker Val Walker, Vice President – Policy, Innovation and Skills from the Business Council of Canada. Val will talk about the work being done by the Business Higher Education Roundtable in support of work-integrated learning for post-secondary students in Canada.
Enhance your messaging – This year’s PD sessions focus on telling your co-op story. Whether you’re communicating with employers, prospective students, or media, it’s important to help external parties understand the value proposition of your co-op program. Work with experts from the Higher Education Council of Ontario and a media consultant to refine your skills and build more compelling co-op narratives.
Make your voice heard – As a CAFCE member, your vote is important. Attend the AGM to learn more about our work and to cast your vote on a proposed by-law amendment.
Connect with colleagues – The AGM/PD event is a great opportunity to connect with fellow CAFCE members. Build your network, get advice from our community of practice, and re-unite with friends and colleagues.
Can’t attend in person? The AGM and PD events will be available via livestream. If you plan on voting as part of the AGM, please register for it as an individual even if you have a group registration for the PD event. This will allow you to access the polls during the AGM.
