The Opportunity:

The Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Sciences is looking for a passionate and engaged Partnership Specialist to spearhead and coordinate business development activities for the Faculty’s Co-operative Internship Program. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Co-operative Internship Programs you will work collaboratively with external facing staff to develop and execute a partnership framework to attract, retain and grow strategic relationships which includes developing and implementing initiatives to raise awareness, gain endorsements, partnerships, and support amongst key internal and external stakeholders.



  • Responsible for collaboratively developing and achieving external facing service standard for the Faculty.
  • Actively promotes, secures and maintains co-operative internship placement opportunities with key employers, organizations or agencies
  • Facilitate the efficient running and support for placement programs
  • Provides student advising and support on placement and career related matters
  • Supports the execution of work or career education programming
  • Provides general administrative support



  • Completion of a post-secondary degree program in a relevant field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in recruitment, co-operative internship and work placement business development, employer engagement, and student advising,  required. Business development and recruiting experience in Engineering/Technical sectors preferred.
  • Proven experience in relationship building and presenting to organizations, agencies or businesses.
  • Proven experience analyzing hiring trends, co-op and employer placement quality, labour market data and student co-op readiness
  • Proven experience working with CRM and Co-op Admin platforms, preferably Salesforce and Orbis.
  • Exceptional consulting, problem solving including ability to manage end-to-end from strategy to execution;
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial approach to business, including strong networking and business relationship building skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to promote FEAS Co-operative Internship Program to a network of senior contacts in internal and external departments and organizations;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including: tact, diplomacy, sound judgment and demonstrated professionalism;
