We are currently recruiting for a Senior Application Developer to work with University Information Technology for this exciting 2 year contract opportunity.
Do you possess professional experience with sales and marketing, human resources, and/or recruiting? Are you able to develop and manage relationships? Do you possess advanced knowledge of sales and relationship management practices as well as knowledge of recruitment, human resources, talent acquisition, on campus recruitment, the hiring cycle, and the sales cycle? You will have a lead role in the development, implementation and support of systems and web applications that enable core enterprise-wide academic processes, specifically but not limited to accreditation support, course management, curriculum design, and course evaluation. Working closely with Lassonde School of Engineering and serving as an expert technical resource and consultant to projects for these applications, the Senior Application Developer takes application development from concept to implementation and provides advanced level development and support for existing software.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
A University Degree (ex. Business, Communications, etc.) plus training in outreach strategies, career development, experiential education and student advising or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience (i.e. four years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University performing the same or similar tasks. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with sales and marketing, human resources, and/or recruiting, preferably in an educational setting that would include experience developing and managing relationships.
