If so, Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) currently has an exciting opportunity for the role of Director, Co-operative Education and Career Services.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Student Affairs, this position is responsible for leading and growing co-operative education, and the delivery of career development programming and support to all KPU students. The role cultivates and manages strong relationships with employers, government and other external agencies, and provides leadership in support of KPU’s experiential learning and career development efforts.
This position is located on the Surrey campus but frequent travel between campuses will be required.
The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in a relevant field, plus a minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a post-secondary setting, combined with a minimum of 3 years teaching experience, preferably in a post-secondary setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
We are seeking a focused individual to develop and enhance career development and co-operative education programming for KPU students. The successful incumbent possesses significant education and experience related to career education theory and practice, curriculum design, program design, and instructional skills. S/he is a proven people leader with the ability to drive and manage through change. The successful incumbent will also possess excellent communication skills, a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and strong conflict resolution skills.

The salary range for this position is $79,700-$103,630/year. In addition, KPU offers a generous vacation entitlement as well as a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, extended health benefits, an annual health care spending account, life insurance, AD&D, and a defined benefit pension plan.
