We invite applications for the position of Career Services Co-ordinator in the Centre of Experiential Learning and Career Development. This is a full-time temporary position for approximately one year.

Under the direction of the Director of Experiential Learning and Career Development, the Career Services Co-ordinator will provide administrative oversight of designated student internship programs and aspects of the student mentorship program.

The Co-ordinator will assist in the development of strategic partnerships with private/public organizations and foundations for the identification, description, and delivery of internship opportunities. This includes but is not limited to filling internship positions with qualified students, and co-ordinating internship placements.

The Co-ordinator will manage the entirety of Career Week, working collaboratively with other members of the Mount Allison University community, and will also be responsible for the design, direction, and administration of the University’s career/employment programs and services.  This includes, but is not limited to, career counselling, graduate school preparation, and the co-ordination and/or delivery of associated programs and workshops.  To view a position description, visit our website at www.mta.ca/employment

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor level degree from a recognized post-secondary institution plus at least three years of relevant experience. Competency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is a requirement. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, presentation skills, an ability to work independently, and an ability to build partnerships with diverse stakeholders. Some travel in the region will be required.
