ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAM ASSISTANT I
(Co-op Coordinator - Lethbridge Campus, Dhillon School of Business, University of Lethbridge)
The Dhillon School of Business Co-operative Education Program invites applications for a full-time temporary Administrative Program Assistant I (working title: Co-op Coordinator - Lethbridge Campus, Dhillon School of Business) to begin as early as August 27, 2018. This is a one-year maternity leave replacement with the possibility of extension.
Reporting to the Manager of the Dhillon School of Business Co-operative Education Program, the incumbent will be responsible for providing direction, support, and work term monitoring to co-op students in the Dhillon School of Business Co-op program. This position will include providing: 1) workshop education and one-to-one assistance to co-op students entering the co-op program, in terms of cover letters, resumes, networking, and interviewing skills; 2) co-op work term support and monitoring of students in active work term semesters, including conducting site visits with the student and employer; and 3) other duties including program/database administrative activities, student recruitment activities, program marketing, and additional projects/activities as required.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $4,408.00 to $4,927.00 per month
The successful candidate must have an undergraduate degree in a related field, preferably in Management/Business or Human Resources, with at least 1 year of related work experience. A suitable combination of experience and education may be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience at a post-secondary institution and a background in employment advising, career development, and/or co-operative education programming. We are also looking for candidates to have skills in public speaking/workshop education, and event coordination. The successful candidate must have proven computer skills including database operations and proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
