CEWIL Resource Hub: Indigenous WIL

Indigenous WIL programs are tailored to the unique needs of Indigenous students, and are typically organized around key principles and best practices for supporting Indigenous student success.

Indigenous WIL program profiles

Students from Australia and the University of Victoria complete an Indigenous WIL exchange. Australian students come to Canada for an academic term and community internship; Canadian students visit Australia for a co-op work term.
Students complete a 120 hour internship with an Indigenous community or organization.
Students participating in the program are connected to local small businesses and non-profit organizations through the provision of wage subsidies.
